Florida Georgia Line sent their debut single “Cruise” to the stratosphere with a hip-hop remix with Nelly, and now the duo is looking to dip their toes back in the genre’s waters.
Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley are currently working on their fourth studio album and, on it, tell People they ‘would love’ to collaborate with rap royalty on it.
“Migos mentioned us and Cardi B mentioned us. We would love to do something with both of those artists, so on the same song would be freakin’ awesome,” Brian says. “We’ll see … that’s kind of the beauty of collaboration.”
Tyler adds the album is FGL’s “strongest yet.”
“We both think it’s the coolest thing to get in a room and find a song that wasn’t there when we started,” he says. “It’s addicting. We love collaborating, but it’s all about quality over quantity for us.”
Florida Georgia Line is enjoying historic success thanks to their collaboration with pop star Bebe Rexha on “Meant to Be.”
The song has become the longest-charting No. 1 with a female lead on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
