ABC/Adam Taylor(LOS ANGELES) — Kim Zolciak is recovering from a very serious health scare on Thursday morning.
The reality star posted a selfie on Instagram from a hospital bed, revealing to her 1.5 millions followers that she suffered a “mini-stroke.”
Zolciak explained that after she returned home to Atlanta from Los Angeles, where she’s currently competing in Dancing with the Stars, she suffered a transient ischemic attack, also known as a mini-stroke.
“The left side of my body went completely numb and my speech was gone,” the Don’t Be Tardy star said.
Zolciak thanked husband Kroy Beirmann, her friend Niki Toney-Pressley, her daughter Brielle Biermann and Brielle’s boyfriend Slade Osborne for their “quick reactions.”
She assured fans that she feels much better and that she will be “getting released today.”
There’s no word on if Zolciak will continue to compete when Dancing with the Stars returns Monday to ABC.
