Frazer Harrison/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — As if Taylor Swift’s squad of gorgeous gal pals didn’t already give us all #FriendshipGoals, wait ’til you get a load of their bank accounts.
Not even counting the actresses and singers who are part of Taylor’s squad, such as Lorde, Selena Gomez, Hailee Steinfeld and Lena Dunham, Forbes estimated that Taylor and her friends who are models raked in an estimated $104.5 million over the past year. The publication says that “arguably” makes them “the most public and highly-paid friend group on the planet.”
The list includes Martha Hunt and Lily Aldridge, each of whom earned $2 million last year; Gigi Hadid, who brought in $2.5 million; Kendall Jenner, with earnings of $4 million; Karlie Kloss, who earned $5 million; Cara Delevigne, who raked in $9 million, and Taylor herself, whose estimated earnings from June of 2014 to June of 2015 are an estimated $80 million.
Forbes points out that the relationship is mutually beneficial. “For Swift, hanging out with beautiful, cool women is part of her transition from country to pop,” says the publication. Taylor returns the favor via social media.
“An appearance on Swift’s Instagram can highlight models such as Martha Hunt and Lily Aldridge, who might not be familiar names to the average observer,” writes Forbes. That leads to more followers for the girls, which is an important consideration these days in the fees they earn.
