We Keep it Mello, Electronic dance music inspired art event

A New Creative Event to Celebrate the Culture of Electronic Dance Music!
The Rapid City Arts Council is pleased to help host a new creative event called We Keep it Mello on Saturday, June 9 from 8 -10pm in the Basement Studios at the Dahl Arts Center
We Keep It Mello is an art experience based around Electronic Dance Music (EDM) and incorporates the same principles of the culture – Peace, Love, Unity, Respect or ‘PLUR’ for short. The PLUR philosophy has enabled music lovers from any walk of life to be included and accepted into the EDM music scene. The event is built around the imagery of one DJ in particular, Marshmello. As a staple on major EDM festival tours for the last few years, Marshmello creates electric environments that fans of any genre can appreciate.
We encourage people from every walk of life to come to this art event to experience creativity in a casual and upbeat environment featuring a variety of attractions including multimedia projections, screen printing, live body painting, marshmallow themed treats, virtual reality demo’s, and an interactive glow stick sculpture. DJ Deacon Blu will be on hand to provide music. The event is built around the imagery of one DJ in particular, Marshmello. As a staple on major EDM festival tours for the last few years, Marshmello creates electric environments that fans of any genre can appreciate.
