Police & Fire Departments to compete in Truck Pull to Kick Off the 12th Annual “Guns n’ Hoses” Blood Drive!
Team Law won the truck pull for the first time in 2016. But the competition that matters most is the battle over who can recruit the most blood donors to the four-day blood drive. Team Fire pulled ahead last year to lead the series 6 – 5. This year’s winner will take home the traveling trophy and bragging rights, but in the end the entire community wins, teaming up to save lives together. Last year’s event brought in a total 725 blood donors and organizers would love to more than top that this year.
The “Guns n’ Hoses” four-day blood drive runs inside the mall near Buckle:
| Tuesday – Thursday, June 20 – 22 | 10:30 am – 6 pm |
| Friday, June 23 | 7:45 am – 3 pm |
All donors at “Guns n’ Hoses” will get a free T-shirt while supplies last, enjoy free food and register to win prizes.
To donate blood, volunteers must be at least 16 years old (16 and 17-year-old donors need a minor donor permit which is available online) and be in good health.
Donors can save time and fill out their Fast Track Health History Questionnaire online at unitedbloodservices.org the day of their donation.
