Three area performing arts groups once again team up for the 4th Annual Pop-up Party Fundraiser on Friday July 27th. A Pop-Up Party is where guests meet at a secret, outdoor location to socialize and create great memories! The location is revealed at 2:00 p.m. on the day of the event. This year the party celebrates the prohibition era with a Speakeasy theme. Every guy and doll is encouraged to get dolled up, bring their gang and whoopee all night! Get your reservations made soon though, since the party is limited to 200 guests.
The Speakeasy Pop-Up Party benefits Black Hills Community Theatre, Performing Arts Center of Rapid City and Rapid City Children’s Chorus, all 501(c)3 tax-exempt organizations. Previous themes for this event have included Blue Moon Pop-Up Party and Green Acres Pop-Up Party and last year’s event celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Summer of Love.
Guests will meet at an exclusive, private outdoor location in the Black Hills to party, socialize and create memories, but the location is not revealed until the day of the party, July 27, at 2 p.m. The
Speakeasy location is about 10 minutes from downtown Rapid City. Guests prepare and bring their own specially crafted picnic dinners, linens, decorations, table settings and most importantly,
creativity! Each guest receives a bottle of fine wine and a special gift, along with the opportunity to win incredible auction prizes.
New this year, the PAC is also offering a "picnic basket" option for those who want to join in the fun, but avoid the hassle of preparing and transporting their own food. Call the PAC Box Office, 605-394- 1786, for more info on pricing and meal choices and to place your order before the Monday, July 23rd deadline. Payment is required at time of order.
