The Special Rodeo will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the Kjerstad Event Center-Central States Fairgrounds in Rapid City. Participants are invited to come enjoy rodeo activities that are accommodating to individuals with disabilities of all ages. Each participant will be partnered with a “rodeo buddy” to assist during the rodeo.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

9:15 a.m. – Check-in
10 a.m. – Special Rodeo (Activities include: Riding and non-riding events)
11:30 a.m. – Pictures & Lunch

DETAILS:

Event is FREE.
Events include: horseback rides (therapy horses provided), stick horse barrel races, dummy roping, goat ribbon pull, and miniature horse painting.
Each participant and volunteer will receive a t-shirt.
Each participant will receive a trophy.
We encourage friends and family to video or take pictures of the event, but we will also have a photographer on site.
This event is open to all individuals with disabilities.
Walkers and wheelchairs are allowed in the arena.
Please wear tennis shoes or boots (no open toed shoes, flip flops, sandals, etc.).

Please register as a participant or volunteer by Monday, August 22.
