Kool Deadwood Nites

Kool Deadwood Nites brings car lovers together for four days full of classic cars, classic music and classic fun. It’s a 50’s and 60’s sock hop – Deadwood style. Enjoy parades, show and shines and FREE concerts on Main Street featuring the biggest names in rock ‘n roll history.
Sunday, August 26th
7am- Parade Line-up- Rodeo Grounds/Ferguson Field
9am- Parade- continues through Central City & Lead via HWY 14A
10am-2pm- Show and Shine- Historic Main Street
11am- Kool Deadwood Nites Official Awards- Parking lot at the History and Information Center
8pm- Happy Together Tour- Six bands that shaped the world of rock-n-roll in the 60’s and 70’s will make one of their last tour stops at Deadwood Mountain Grand. Featuring- The Turtles, Chuck Negron formerly of Three Dog Night, Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, The Association, Mark Lindsay former lead singer of Paul Revere & The Raiders and The Cowsills will all perform their multitude of hits in the Deadwood Mountain Grand Event Center.
2018 Information

• Registration for 2018 Kool Deadwood Nites will be held at the Deadwood’s NEW Welcome Center! 501 Main Street, Deadwood, S.D. 57732. This is a brand new center that opened in 2017. It’s located in the Lower Main Street Parking Lot, across from the Hampton Inn at Tin Lizzie.
• Kool Deadwood Nites registered cars ONLY will have a section of the Lower Main Street parking lot (location of the new Welcome Center, where registration will be held) Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 23-25. Of course, registrants can continue to park throughout the event at the History and Information Center too.
• There’s also a shuttle being offered for parking again this year, from Akela Spa to Deadwood. This is a free service to all of our guests for Kool Deadwood Nites, and it runs from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday, August 23 and 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday, August 24 & 25.
• The City of Deadwood Police Department asks that you please refrain from doing Burn-Outs during the parade on Sunday, August 26.
• NEW! The Main Street Entertainment this year will feature The Grass Roots on August 23, The Lettermen on August 24, and The Box Tops on August 25.
• NEW! Sunday evening concert held at Deadwood Mountain Grand. The Happy Together Tour is a ticketed event.
• NEW! Don’t miss an additional day of FREE concerts held in conjunction with the Sturgis Mustang Rally. Mustang Monday (August 27) is held in the Days of ’76 Event Complex and headlined by Jay & The Americans and The Happenings. Free admission.
