Joe Burmeister hosts this blood drive on Good Friday to boost blood supplies over the Easter holiday weekend, this drive is now a community tradition.

March is Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month, a reminder that blood donations can help those affected pursue everyday activities.

o Among other treatments, blood donations may be needed to help those who have inherited bleeding disorders that don’t allow a person’s blood to clot properly.

This March, Vitalant is thanking donors with a chance to be the lucky winner of $10,000.

o Donors between March 1 and April 5 will automatically be entered into the drawing.

o If donors have questions about their ability to donate blood we encourage them to check our website or call us to double check. Many things changed over the pandemic and even people who’ve been told they could never donate blood are now eligible.
