Put that radio in reverse and get ready for three country music superstars to throw down some tried and true tunes, as the Country Throwback Tour featuring Mark Chesnutt, Terri Clark and Joe Diffie stops off at the Deadwood Mountain Grand Event Center at 8 p.m. Thursday, January 22.
“Together, Chesnutt, Clark, and Diffie celebrate over 50 Top Ten hits, 32 No. 1 hits, 9 platinum records, and a myriad of awards and accolades including Grammy Awards, CMA and CCMA Awards,” said Deadwood Mountain Grand Entertainment/Sales & Marketing Director Susan Kightlinger.
Their names firmly established, Chesnutt, Clark, and Diffie will join together on stage and entertain the audience with the music that made them household names.
With smash hits such as “Bubba Shot the Jukebox,” “Too Cold at Home,” “Goin’ Through the Big D,” “It Sure Is Monday,” “Almost Goodbye,” “I’ll Think of Something,” “It’s a Little Too Late,” “Brother Jukebox,” “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” “I Just Wanted You to Know,” “Gonna’ Get a Life,” “Your Love is a Miracle,” “Ol’ Country,” “Blame it on Texas,” and “She Was,” Chesnutt’s authentic talent and deep country roots have embedded him as one of the true treasures in Country music history. In 1990, Chesnutt released his debut album, along with five straight Top Ten country hits. From then, Mark Chesnutt’s impressive career has only set to further establish his legacy as a Country music legend. With 14 No. 1 hits, 23 Top Ten singles, five gold records, and an incredible four platinum records to his name, Chesnutt has more than earned his revered place in Country music history.
Clark has established herself as one of the premier talents in Country music by selling over five million albums and achieving Gold, Platinum, Double Platinum, and Triple Platinum certifications for her musical releases. With a career that started in 1994, Clark has charted a long list of hits, including “Better Things to Do,” “When Boy Meets Girl,” “If I Were You,” “Suddenly Single,” “Now That I Found You,” “You’re Easy on the Eyes,” “I Just Wanna Be Mad” and “Girls Lie Too.” Clark is the only female Canadian artist to be a member of the prestigious Grand Ole Opry.
Diffie’s career launched in 1990, producing such smash hits as “Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox,” “John Deere Green,” “Home,” “If the Devil Danced (In Empty Pockets),” “Bigger Than the Beatles,” and “Third Rock to the Sun,” just to name a few.
In addition to 20 Top Ten hits, Diffie celebrates 12 No. 1 hits as well. His commercial success is accompanied by membership in the Grand Ole Opry, multiple CMA Awards, and a Grammy award for his musical talents.
“For those who love nostalgia and the music that surrounds it, the Country Throwback Tour is the ticket,” said Deadwood Mountain Grand Sales, Marketing and Event Director Susan Kightlinger. “The opportunity to see all three of these accomplished singers live in one performance is a rarity.”
