Friday, December 13 from 6:30 – 8: 50 p.m. at the downtown library (610 Quincy Street, upstairs) we will be screening our December Book to Film Movie selection “Catch Me if You Can.” Frank, a charming 1960s con man, poses as a Pan Am pilot, a doctor and a legal prosecutor successfully forging millions of dollars’ worth of checks while eluding Carl, a seasoned FBI agent determined to put him behind bars. The film takes place over several years, with Frank calling Carl every December 24, in what becomes an odd show of mutual respect and admiration between con man and FBI agent.
Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks, Christopher Walken, Amy Adams and directed by Steven Spielberg, the film is based on the book “Catch Me if You Can: the True Story of a Real Fake” by Frank W. Abagnale and Stan Redding. This movie is rated PG-13. Popcorn and beverages will be served.
