DESCRIPTION:THE ROUNDUP RODEO HISTORY \nThe Roundup is one of the oldest continuously held outdoor rodeos in America.  \nFor five exciting days surrounding the July 4th holiday weekend\, thousands of regional residents\, and people from across the country and abroad\, come to Belle Fourche to celebrate.  \nThe Black Hills Roundup started years ago when 15\,000 people gathered in a Belle Fourche field to help raise funds for the 1918 war.  \nThis was an astonishing number of people to show up considering the population of Belle Fourche was 1\,410.  \nEven though World War I ended the next year\, the success of the first year prompted them to try it again and again.

DESCRIPTION:The Deadwood 3 Wheeler Rally (D3WR) is an event to bring three-wheelers\, also known as trikes\, to Deadwood and the Black Hills area of South Dakota. The Deadwood three wheeler rally is held at the Deadwood Event Complex (DEC) at 15 76 Drive\, Deadwood\, SD 57732 – conveniently across the street from First Gold Gaming Resort\, which has served as the event host since its inception in 2015. In the past 9 years\, trikers from most US states and Canada have ridden in on all makes and models.\nThe 10th Annual Deadwood 3 Wheeler Rally will be from Sunday\, July 7\, to Friday\, July 12\, 2024. South Dakota provides some of the most beautiful and fantastic riding ever experienced. Destination rides and specific activities are designed to feature the entire iconic region while also allowing time to visit iconic attractions such as Crazy Horse Memorial\, Mount Rushmore\, and Devil’s Tower in WY. Maps are provided to riders so they can confidently experience the beauty of Spearfish Canyon\, Vanocker Canyon\, Needles Highway\, Iron Mountain Road\, and Custer State Park. The Trike Show n’ Shine will be held at the Deadwood Event Center\, and the Night Trike Parade will be on historic main street in Deadwood.\n3 Wheeler Central at the Deadwood Event Center is a large event area featuring vendors\, a trike washing station\, food and dining\, activities\, and hanging out with friends during the Rally. Complementary bottled water will always be available\, plus alcoholic beverages can be purchased at various times during the day at the Rally Bar. \nTrike Show ‘n’ Shine\nThe 10th Annual Deadwood 3 Wheeler Rally Show ‘n’ Shine will occur at a to-be-determined location from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm on Wednesday\, July 10\, 2024. Trikes will begin lining up by their chosen class at 10 am on Wednesday. Must be paid registrant of the Rally to participate in the event. \nRegistration\nShow ‘n’ Shine registration forms will be in the D3WR Event Info Packet (the envelope you receive after signing the event waiver.) Trike show participants must fill out the form and choose their “class” upon registration at the event. DESCRIPTION:Join us and be a hero for the CASA cause!\nThe HALF MARATHON is a road race down the beautiful Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway featuring limestone canyon walls blanketed with coniferous and deciduous trees along Spearfish Creek. Runners begin in Savoy at 8 AM and follow Highway 14A\, Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway\, to the Spearfish City Park. The 5K starts and ends in the Spearfish City Park. Runners follow the road through the campground and connect with the bike path to the canyon parking lot\, then head back down the scenic byway to reconnect with the bike path to end in the park.\n \nThe HALF MARATHON is a road race down the beautiful Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway featuring limestone canyon walls blanketed with coniferous and deciduous trees along Spearfish Creek. Runners begin in Savoy at 8 AM and follow Highway 14A\, Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway\, to the Spearfish City Park.\nCost $75  –  $90 day prior/at event\n-All participants receive a participation medal. Virtual participants will be mailed a medal for completion of the race if a time is reported.-The top 3 finishers will receive place medals in the following age categories: under 12\, 12-19\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60-69\, 70+-Everyone registered by June 25 will receive a race shirt/tank.-The Half Marathon course is a certified course (USATF Certificate SD16003BK). Participants must run on the left side of the road or  be DISQUALIFIED.–Buses will be available to transport runners from the Spearfish City Park to the starting point of the half marathon beginning at 5:30 a.m. on July 13. The last bus will leave at 6:00 a.m. Participants are welcome to be dropped off at the starting point near Savoy. However\, traffic can get extremely congested\, so we strongly encourage runners to ride the bus. \nThe 5K starts and ends in the Spearfish City Park.
