The Bobby Bones Show debated whether they are cooler now or if they were cooler during their high school years. A survey showed that 56% of Americans believe they are cooler now than they were in high school.
When asked the question, Amy admitted she was unsure. “Maybe cooler now, I think,” Amy said before later adding that she might actually be “the same” both then and now. Lunchbox immediately said he believed he was cooler in high school and said that he also thinks Amy was cooler in high school since it’s just a mom now. Eddie also thought he was cooler now, which Lunchbox jumped in on like he did with Amy. He did hit Eddie harder with the low T comment and that he’s old and bald. Eddie doesn’t think he compares to other dads his age and thinks he’s actually a pretty cool dad, and he hasn’t let himself go. Lunchbox still didn’t agree with the sentiment but Amy understood his perspective.
Bones said he definitely feels cooler now than he did when he was younger. He admitted in high school he had nothing, he was a “broke nerd.” Now, he’s the same nerd, but he can buy nice clothes. Lunchbox agreed with Bones because he says Bones has been “a nerd his whole life.” Bones argued that having more confidence and financial stability helped him change how he views himself. Lunchbox believes that high school times were cooler for everyone because of parties, social experiences, and all the “cool things” people did when they were that age. While the rest of the show thinks “cool” aligns more with confidence.
