RAPID CITY'S #1 FOR NEW COUNTRY KICK 104

Listeners Share Their Favorite Moments from the Cruise

Many listeners joined the Bobby Bones Show on the Top Shelf Country Cruise, and the team was really thankful for everyone who attended. The cruise will return next year with an additional stop in Cozumel, Mexico and more country music concerts.

Lisa from Florida called in to talk about her experience. She said it was the best vacation of her life, even compared to many other cruises and trips she had taken. She said one of the highlights was Boozy Bingo, which was hosted by Morgan and Lunchbox. Lisa said Morgan was especially entertaining during the event. At one point, a chair had to be brought out for her because people kept handing her shots while the crowd chanted for her to chug them. Lisa also shared that she was traveling with another couple and her friend Sue ended up winning the final bingo jackpot, which was $2,900. After the win, Morgan was supposed to meet them for shots at the casino, but no one could find her. Lunchbox tried texting and calling, but Morgan had disappeared. Morgan later explained that she had gone upstairs to the buffet where she was eating french fries with chocolate. She said there was video proof of it and admitted she was having trouble finding her way around at that point. She said someone had been helping make sure she was eating because people had been giving her a lot of shots.

The group discussed whether alcohol hits differently while on a cruise. Bobby wondered if the motion of the ocean had something to do with it, but Lunchbox said it was simply because people drink more than usual. They agreed that the cruise environment encourages it, with bars everywhere and no clear sense of time. They also noted that there are no visible clocks around the ship, which makes it easy to lose track of time as people move from place to place trying different bars and drinks.

Another listener, Michelle from Minnesota, also shared her experience from the cruise. She said she had a phenomenal time and mentioned meeting several members of the show throughout the trip. At one point she wore a Cowboys jersey to a wine tasting in support of Eddie. Michelle said Lunchbox and Morgan stopped to take photos and talk with her and her husband on their way to dinner, even though her husband is not a country music fan. She said he still came along for the trip and ended up enjoying meeting everyone from the show. Michelle mentioned she was disappointed she didn’t get to properly meet Amy during the cruise. Michelle recalled seeing Amy briefly at the spa café one morning when Amy was wearing black leggings, a black hat, and a black top. Amy said that was the morning she was leaving and admitted she had not been feeling well from having too many martinis the night before.

The conversation turned to a moment during one of Bobby and Eddie’s shows on the cruise when there was a disruption. Lunchbox & Morgan later met the woman responsible for the interruption. She explained that she had tried a lavender martini at the ship’s martini bar for the first time and liked it so much that she drank several in a short amount of time right before the show. She said she thought she could hold it together during the performance but eventually lost control and became very giggly. Despite the disruption, Lunchbox and Morgan said she was very nice when they later met her.

Stephanie then called in while she was at the airport heading home from the cruise. She explained that she arrived a few days early before the cruise and stayed several days afterward to continue celebrating her birthday. She had just turned 50 on February 10th. After the cruise ended, she stayed in the area and went swimming with dolphins. She said the experience was amazing and described the cruise itself as fabulous and mind-blowing. She met several members of the show during the trip, including Amy in the hallway and Morgan during a selfie moment. She also met Ray and someone who he had introduced as his mom. The group questioned that detail, suggesting it may not have actually been his mother, but his wife Laura. She also shared that she got a selfie with Cooper Allen, sat in the front row during Keith’s performance, and took a selfie with Scotty McCreery. She said the entire trip ended up being the best birthday celebration she could have imagined.
