Bobby shared an embarrassing moment that happened while he was out to dinner with his wife.
Although he doesn’t drink alcohol, he enjoys fruity drinks and prefers them to be as elaborate and colorful as possible, joking that he wants them topped with as much fruit as the hats worn by Carmen Miranda. At the restaurant, he ordered a very fruity drink. However, when it was delivered to the table by a staff member from the bar, it was placed in front of his wife instead of him. His wife quickly clarified that the drink was actually his.
The situation reminded the group of a similar experience involving Lunchbox. In that instance, a server brought Lunchbox a burger and gave his wife a salad, even though they had ordered the opposite. Lunchbox said he felt the assumption was rude and sexist, explaining that the server should have asked who ordered which item rather than assuming based on gender. He also admitted that he reduced the server’s tip because of it. Bobby said the mix-up at his dinner did not affect him and that he never once considered altering the tip. He noted that his wife is pregnant and suggested the staff may have assumed the fruity drink was a non-alcoholic option intended for her. The show discussed how assumptions like that can be stereotypical, with Lunchbox saying people should avoid making those judgments.
