The Bobby Bones Show played another round of “Compliment Battle,” with $3 on the line.
Bobby explained the rules: the wheel would be spun, and the two people it landed on would have to compliment each other for three rounds. The panel would then decide the winner. The wheel landed on Amy and Lunchbox. Amy chose to go first after the last round proved going first seems to help.
In round one, Amy complimented Lunchbox by saying she admired how he doesn’t care what other people think. Lunchbox responded by complimenting Amy’s perseverance, referencing her divorce, hitting rock bottom, and rebuilding her life into becoming a strong woman. The panel reacted to the phrasing, pointing out that it focused heavily on the hardship before the compliment. In round two, Amy complimented Lunchbox by saying he is a really good dad. Lunchbox responded by saying that “some would say” Amy has a heart of gold, referencing her adoption of her children from Haiti and giving them a better life. The panel criticized the wording, noting that he said “some would say” instead of owning the compliment himself. In round three, Amy struggled to find another compliment and eventually told Lunchbox that he handles diseases well, referencing his history of medical issues. The conversation then listed several illnesses Lunchbox has dealt with over the years. Amy clarified that she meant he handles those situations like a champ. For his final compliment, Lunchbox told Amy that she handles not being able to get pregnant “like a champ.” The room reacted strongly, questioning the comparison. Amy laughed and said she was okay, explaining she was laughing rather than crying. Lunchbox defended himself by saying both of them had battled personal challenges and made it through.
Eddie ultimately voted for Amy after noting this game seems hard for her, Bobby also voted for Amy and Morgan admitted she was leaning toward Lunchbox until his final compliment, so she picked Amy to win as well. Amy won the battle and moved to 1–1 in compliment battles.
