From Gas Stations to Trampoline Parks: Our Dream Birthday Party Locations

After hearing about a wife throwing her husband a Costco birthday party, the Bobby Bones Show discussed where they’d want their own surprise birthday party if it had to be at a store or non-traditional location.

Bobby’s choice was a gas station, specifically a large, high-quality one. The reasoning was that gas stations are convenient and have snacks that only feel right on road trips, like Funyuns, circus peanuts, and Red Hots. He described it as the place where most everyday essentials are picked up without having to park and walk into a big store. Amy’s option was Chick-fil-A, with the caveat that it couldn’t fall on a Sunday since it would be closed. Chipotle was also mentioned as a strong contender, with the idea that everyone could have a good time there, even if the dining rooms are small, especially if the whole place were rented out.

Dick’s Sporting Goods was chosen by Eddie because of the activities inside, including golf simulators, putting greens, batting cages, basketball hoops, and the ability to try on all the clothes. Food would be brought in or catered, making it more about the experience than a meal. Lunchbox picked a trampoline park, offering activities for both kids and adults, including trampoline basketball, dodgeball, foam pits, and high-jump platforms. It was acknowledged that not everyone would leave injury-free, but that was part of the fun. The trampoline basketball courts were described as padded and safe enough to dunk, though adults dominating kids is generally frowned upon.
