Fasting Debates, The Long Island Medium and Valentine’s Day Opinions

Some listeners called into The Bobby Bones Show with some ready to give credit and others wanting updates and to share their opinions.

A listener called in to give Eddie some credit for sticking with his fast. The caller pointed out that bone broth is considered an approved option during fasting and mentioned that Eddie had clearly stated fruits, vegetables, and nuts would be part of the plan. The listener added that they were cheering him on and encouraged him to keep going. That praise didn’t go unchallenged. Bobby jumped into debating whether Eddie had actually followed the rules he laid out. It was pointed out that Eddie had eaten steak on day three or four of the fast. Eddie pushed back, clarifying that it happened later, specifically on day four. That explanation didn’t settle things, with a comparison made to running most of a marathon and then hopping on a scooter at the end, close doesn’t count. When asked how many days into the fast he was, Eddie admitted he didn’t know. He explained that not tracking the days was intentional. Watching the countdown would only make it harder, especially with cravings for meat already creeping in. He joked that if he ended up going 40 days, then so be it. At this point, Eddie confirmed his current diet included fruits, vegetables, beans, lentils, and legumes, and no meat, sugar, bread, or anything else outside those limits. Despite the debate, one thing was clear: he was still going.

The next voicemail asked about Amy potentially being on a podcast with Theresa Caputo, the Long Island Medium. An update was requested after hearing nothing further. The explanation was simple: Theresa had wanted Amy to appear on her podcast, but Amy declined. A counteroffer was made to have Theresa appear on Bobby’s podcast instead. Neither side budged, resulting in a stalemate and no appearance at all. It was noted, jokingly, that if Theresa really is psychic, she probably saw it coming. In any case, she was already out of town and nothing ended up happening.

Another voicemail came in from Fresno, California, offering a take on Valentine’s Day. The caller shared that after 44 years of marriage, they agreed with Lunchbox’s stance aka Valentine’s Day is unnecessary. They suggested celebrating a few days before or after instead, saying it works just as well. That led to a broader discussion about how Valentine’s Day fits into relationships. It was acknowledged that while the holiday isn’t essential for everyone, it does matter if one person in the relationship feels it’s important. In those cases, both people should make the effort. The takeaway was simple: some people don’t care about Valentine’s Day at all, while others really do and making someone feel loved sometimes means showing up in the way they value most.
