Local artists, diverse performances and well-loved holiday classics! Ring in the new year with our end-of-the year musical celebration featuring “Clarinet Quartattitude, the Quartet with Attitude” at the downtown library (610 Quincy Street, upstairs) Monday, December 9 from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. with a collection of traditional holiday favorites in classical and jazz arrangements.
“Clarinet Quartattitude, the Quartet with Attitude,” was formed in 2013 to entertain, educate and inspire. Nancy Williams is the group’s founder, manager and amateur comedian who graduates this semester with a Doctor of Arts degree. Deb Knowles is principal clarinetist in the Black Hills Symphony Orchestra and matriarch of the local Knowles clan. Deb Martin is a retired elementary music teacher, the tallest member of the group and recently formed possibly the only church bluegrass band on the planet, or at least the upper Midwest. Dan Mulally is an engineer, landlord, bee keeper, stable manager and politician’s husband. He also plays in a rock band, “Kim and the Cue Balls.”
