Based on the years-long New York Times bestseller by M. L. Stedman, “The Light Between Oceans” tells a tale of longing, loss and the overwhelming love for a child. Friday, November 16 from 6:30 – 8:45 p.m. at the downtown library (610 Quincy Street, upstairs) witness the story of Tom Sherbourne, a former World War I solider who, after returning to his homeland of Australia, takes the job of a lighthouse keeper and finds love with a young woman he meets. Follow along with Sherbourne’s tale as he marries his love and later in life, rescues an infant child from a small dingy adrift in the ocean.
