The Association of Fundraising Professionals – South Dakota Chapter (AFP-SD) is continuing its Western South Dakota monthly programming with a November 14th program titled, “Smart Year-End Giving – Gearing Up for Your Annual Appeal.”
Michael McNeely founded Abbey Group in 1992 with a passion to demonstrate that customized services produce extraordinary development results. Dozens of successful campaigns and development projects have proven him right. He is a frequent speaker and author in the field. Michael has shared campaign successes with top executives from multinational corporations. He has served as campaign counsel to the American Medical Association; American Lung Association (national office); American Academy of Allergy Asthma & Immunology; Boys’ & Girls’ Brigade; Beloit Memorial Hospital Foundation; Funeral Service Foundation; and Catholic Dioceses of Lafayette, Indiana; Gary, Indiana; and Rapid City, South Dakota. A graduate of Marquette University, Michael is a past trustee of the Milwaukee Repertory Theater and past chair of the REP’s Major Gifts Committee. He is a past president of the Friends of Old World Wisconsin and past board chair of the Institute for Entrepreneurship. Michael is also a past treasurer and board member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) – Milwaukee.
The presentation will be held from 11:30am – 1:00pm at the Rushmore Plaza Holiday Inn, 505 North Fifth Street, Rapid City, SD. AFP-SD members attend the function at no charge by pre-registering online at www.southdakotaafp.org. Non-members are welcomed and encouraged to attend for $15 by pre-registering and pre-paying online at www.southdakotaafp.org. Registration deadline is 12:00 noon on Monday, November 12th. Meals and beverages may be ordered off a set menu and paid by attendee. No outside food or beverage allowed.
