On June 11 at about 1:50 a.m. officers observed a vehicle driving that they were looking for as being stolen out of Sioux Falls. As the officer was following the vehicle to confirm it was still reported as being stolen the driver stopped and walked into a restaurant in the at 2200 block of N. LaCrosse St. The driver was recognized as being 23 year old Cameron Hart of Rapid City and it was known he had a Department of Corrections Warrant for his arrest. Officers made contact with Cameron inside the restaurant. Cameron was told he was under arrest. As the officer attempted to place him into handcuffs Cameron charged at the officer and they collided. A short struggle began and officers told Cameron that the Taser would be used if he did not stop resisting the arrest. Cameron was taken into custody without further incident. Cameron Hart was charged with Obstructing a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Controlled Drug and a Warrant.
