Watch Carrie Underwood Nail The National Anthem At Predators Playoff Game

Over the weekend, Carrie Underwood took to the Predators’ home game in Nashville, Texas to sing the National Anthem, the second performance after her disastrous 2017 fall, which left the American Idol champ with 40 stitches in her face, and she absolutely nailed the number.
On Sunday (April 29), the 35-year-old star got the crowd pumping when she stepped onto the Bridgestone Arena floor in a Predators jersey to offer a stellar rendition of the patriotic ode for their face-off game against the Winnipeg Jets. It marked Game 2 of their 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs series and Underwood fans know how fitting the performance was since she’s married to Nashville Predators forward Mike Forward. The Predators are the first team to serve up surprise guests for the National Anthem each game. Previous performers have included Rascal FlattsBrad PaisleyMaren Morris and more.
Most recently, Underwood offered fans a behind-the-scenes shot from her new photoshoot for her athletic clothing line, CALIA by Carrie Underwood, via PEOPLE. “I’m so proud of this collection,” the singer told the outlet in a report, which was published on Wednesday (April 25) alongside a photo of her lifting a kettlebell in some items from the customized athletic line. Considering that the singer broke her wrist and had to deal with the aftermath of all those stitches, we can only imagine how excited she was to get back into the swing of things, particularly on the athletic end.
Just a few weeks back, Underwood broke her silence about her recent fall in an interview with “The Bobby Bones Show.” “I was taking the dogs out to go pee one last time, and I just — I tripped,” she confessed. “There was one step, and I didn’t let go of the leashes! Priorities! So that’s why my left hand’s fine. But I went to catch myself and I just missed a step. If I had fallen anywhere else, I would have been perfectly fine. But it was one step that messed everything up.”
