Amy Finally Posted Her First Book Review and Was Surprisingly Nervous About It
Amy has read 23 books so far in 2026, and she finally decided to share all of her thoughts in one place.
She posted her first official book review on Instagram this week, complete with star ratings, favorites, disappointments, and a photo of every book she’s finished this year. But even though Amy talks about books all the time, she admitted she was a little nervous about putting her opinions out there.
It wasn’t the reading part that made her anxious. It was the idea that someone might absolutely love a book she didn’t.
Her list is all over the map in the best way possible. There are psychological thrillers, rom-coms, emotional family stories, historical fiction, and a handful of book club favorites. Some of her top-rated reads include Verity by Colleen Hoover, The Irish Goodbye, Every Summer After, and several books from Abby Jimenez and Emily Henry.
Not every book earned five stars, though. Amy was honest about the titles she struggled to get through and the ones that just weren’t her thing, which made the whole review feel a lot more like getting recommendations from a friend than scrolling through a generic “must-read” list.
One book, Strangers by Belle Burden, hit especially close to home. Amy shared that parts of the memoir unexpectedly reminded her of her own childhood and brought up feelings she wasn’t expecting when she picked it up.
