Two show members had some moral dilemmas they wanted to propose to The Bobby Bones Show to see how they would handle it.
Amy’s dilemma centered around a denim jacket she had ordered online for an upcoming festival. Expecting a smaller fit, she realized the jacket was oversized, with sleeves that were too long. Planning to return it for a smaller size, she left it on her kitchen table, only to come home and discover her dog had chewed up the extra button and tag that came with it. With the item now missing its original packaging components, Amy questioned whether it was still appropriate to return it. She debated contacting customer service to explain the situation truthfully or simply altering the jacket to make it work. The show all agreed she had done nothing wrong, emphasizing that she hadn’t worn the jacket and shouldn’t be penalized for something out of her control. While there was some uncertainty about whether the company would accept the return, they encouraged her to be honest if she reached out. Others suggested she could send it back anyway, noting that companies often handle similar situations regularly. Amy remained hesitant, concerned that her explanation might sound like a common excuse. Still, she acknowledged the option of having the jacket altered as a backup solution.
The conversation then shifted to Lunchbox’s dilemma, which involved a social decision rather than a practical one. He had received a Facebook friend request from a former high school teacher who, in his memory, had not been supportive of him. He recalled being rejected from a student leadership group and being warned before graduation to behave properly or risk losing his diploma. Now faced with the request years later, Lunchbox debated whether to accept it, ignore it, or respond in a way that referenced their past interactions. The show questioned whether the teacher’s actions at the time were simply part of their role, but Lunchbox wasn’t sure. He had considered sending a pointed message calling back to those moments, but the rest of the show advised against it. Some suggested he ignore the request entirely, while others encouraged him to accept it without commenting and move on. The idea of responding with a confrontational message was widely dismissed.
