The Bobby Bones Show live in Nashville, Tennessee where there are big talks about a historic winter storm that’s impacting over the weekend. Forecasts suggest the storm could impact a large portion of the country, stretching from Texas through the Mid-Atlantic and possibly up into New York.
There’s been concern about power outages, especially due to ice accumulation. Bobby shared he has been trying to get a generator installed at his house, but it will not be installed in time if the storm hits as expected. Because of this, he mentioned trying to get a space heater, or at the very least using the gas fireplace in their home. Amy was feeling a little concerned, but remembered she has a fireplace as well so she should be all set. Eddie admitted he is worried about heating his home, because he doesn’t have a fireplace or a generator. So he started thinking about other options like propane heaters, or maybe even the flamethrower Bobby got him for Christmas as some backup heat if the electricity does go out.
Eddie took a trip to the grocery store and saw all kinds of shortages. Bread is completely gone, and many aisles are empty. Meat is available, but some of the show was concerned about food spoiling if the refrigerator loses power. That’s when everyone joked they would be storing their food outside if the power goes out. Morgan also went to the grocery store and witnessed two separate fights break out, one of them was over the last pair of kidney beans. She was in the aisle hoping to get ingredients for chili, which seemed to be what everyone else was doing, and she caught two older women arguing over who got the last can of kidney beans.
Amy was happy she found an old bucket of salt in her garage that she joked she got “in the divorce” so she already laid it down on her driveway in hopes it will keep the ice and snow from getting too bad. So hopefully the reports are much worse than the weather event actually is, or the show may be coming into work next week cold, hungry, and with things on fire.
