The question was asked: if you could go back in time to any moment, but only for one hour, where would you go? You would have one hour before the time machine left. If you were not back on the bus when it left, you would be stuck there forever, so The Bobby Bones Show all shared their answers.
Amy shared the place that immediately came to mind was the moment when her father asked her mother for forgiveness while she was dying. Both Amy and her sister were in the room. Their parents had been divorced since they were young. It was right before the mother lost consciousness, and it was the last time everyone was together. Amy explained that the moment showed forgiveness to her. The mother did not need the forgiveness because she had already forgiven him, but it was still meaningful. Her response to the request? Amy’s mom tapped his nose, and said “boop.” That was how she forgave him. Bobby shared a memory from seventh grade. In the school cafeteria, a kid took a bottle of ketchup, unscrewed the lid, and dumped it on his head in front of everyone. He did not stand up for himself and just sat there while people laughed. He said he would go back to that moment so he could stand up for himself. Even if he got beat up, he would punch the kid in the face so the moment would not end the same way. He added that another option would be going back to see dinosaurs.
Lunchbox said he would go back to spring of 1999 at Anderson High School prom. He was crowned prom king and would want to relive the moment when his name was called and the crown was placed on his head in front of his graduating class. He said it was a great moment and that not everyone gets to be prom king. Eddie said he would go back to a trip to Puerto Rico with his wife. They visited Flamenco Beach and arrived by ferry, then rode a golf cart to the beach. He said he had two beers and everything felt clear to him. He said the moment helped him realize his purpose was to be a dad. He thinks about that place often and has not been back since.
Amy was given another chance to go back since her first answer was impulsive. She shared a family vacation from childhood with her mother, father, and sister before the parents split up. The location was not clearly remembered, possibly South Padre Island. Amy admitted the memory mostly comes from photos and stories. She very vividly remembers her dad packed a blender for the trip so he could make piña coladas in the hotel room and the kids got to have virgin piña coladas. Amy would go back to that trip to remember it more clearly.
