The Show Tests Everyone’s Hearing and Lung Capacity Live On Air

During the show, Bobby set up a hearing test for Amy, asking her to turn away from the screen and raise her hand when she could no longer hear a sound being played. He explained that the sound would gradually increase in pitch and that the age displayed on the screen would indicate the typical hearing range for when people stop hearing it.

After confirming everyone could hear the initial sound, Bobby explained that most 73-year-olds could still hear it at that level. As the pitch increased, Amy raised her hand, and Bobby announced that her hearing age was 35. Amy celebrated the result, saying it was reassuring since she feels like her hearing isn’t great. Bobby shared that his own result was similar around age 31, and the group compared notes to see who lost the sound first. They ran the test again with everyone participating at the same time. Amy landed close to her original result, Eddie and Bobby lost the sound around the same point, and Lunchbox followed shortly after. Morgan appeared to hear it longer than expected, with the show joking that she could still hear it when it wasn’t playing anymore. Bobby concluded that Amy had the worst hearing on the show, to which then she referred to her hearing as “elderly.”

The conversation then shifted to another test, this time focused on lung capacity. Eddie explained that holding your breath for 40 seconds indicates excellent lungs, while 90 seconds is considered exceptional. The group agreed to try it, with a timer running. As the countdown progressed, Morgan tapped out first at 30 seconds, explaining her lungs haven’t been the same since having COVID. Eddie was next, followed by Lunchbox around the mid-40-second mark. Bobby made it to a full minute before stopping, saying he couldn’t have gone much longer. Amy held on the longest, prompting jokes that she was trying to prove she didn’t have “the oldest everything” on the show.
