In the reoccurring Tuesday Reviews day segment, the Bobby Bones Show shares TV shows and movies they’ve watched recently that they suggest listeners check out.
- Bobby watched a bunch of things over the holiday break. He completed the Now You See Me movie series, including the latest installment. He gave the whole series 3/5 rabbits out of hats. He also watched The Night Of on HBOMAX, which was an older series and he doesn’t typically do that. However, he and his wife watched The Beast In Me and this series was a great follow up. They rented The Long Walk and Bobby really enjoyed it, it was in the thriller category with some gore giving it 4/5 tennis shoes. He watched The Last Frontier on Apple TV+, but he learned while watching the season that the show got cancelled. He decided to still finish it, giving it 3.5/5 snow storms. Finally, his only 5/5 movie for 2025, Bobby watched The Life of Chuck on Hulu/Disney+ and he really enjoyed it. So much so, it takes his top ranking for 2025.
- Amy finally watched The Age of Disclosure per Bobby’s request. He paid her money to buy it since it’s only available for rent or purchase. She said it was good, she was entertained, fascinated, and locked in. However, she wishes they would show more. She gave it 4/5 tic tacs.
- Mike D watched a bunch over the break as well. He rented Marty Supreme and enjoyed it, noting it’s more sports drama than anything. Then he went to the theaters to see the latest installment of Avatar, noting he didn’t really like it. This one felt like it’s run time, although visually it was incredible and he’s never seen anything like it. He’d be happy to be done after this one. Then he saw The Housemaid and didn’t anticipate that he would enjoy it, but he did. His wife loved it after reading the book. He gave it 3.5/5. Lastly, he finished Stranger Things. Overall, the series scores a 4.5/5, the final season gets a 4/5, and the finale episode gets a 3.5/5.
- Eddie watched a bunch of old Christmas favorites, but he also watched The Holiday for the first time and he LOVED it. He thinks it’s such a good holiday rom com. He gave it 4/5 movie trailers.
- Morgan watched Triple Frontier on Netflix because of it’s star-studded cast. She wanted to like it, it reminded her of the A-Team in ways. Ultimately the show made her mad a few times, she gave it 3/5 guns. She also watched Merv on Amazon Prime and loved it, she also admitted it made her tear up. She gave it 4/5 dog vacations.
- Lunchbox watched Christmas Chronicles on Netflix, but thought it was pretty stupid. He gave it 2/5 sleigh rides. He also watched Deep Cover on Amazon Prime, which he thought was so fun and absolutely loved it. He gave it 4/5 comedy acts.
