Revealing Our All Time Top 4 Favorite Movies

On the Bobby Bones Show, the show shared their favorite 4 movies of all time after being inspired by The Pope.

In an interview, The Pope shared his favorite movies. His list: It’s a Wonderful LifeThe Sound of MusicOrdinary People, and Life Is Beautiful, with Dodgeball thrown in for good measure before Bobby admitted he was kidding about that one. That movie talk got everyone in the room sharing their own top four.

Amy jumped in first. Her top three have never changed: Pretty WomanDirty Dancing, and Steel Magnolias, the trio she said will always stay the same. The fourth spot, she admitted, is a revolving door, but today she chose Elf thanks to the holiday season. She said it’s the perfect Christmas movie and always makes her happy.

Bobby shared his own list next, noting that his top three are locked in as well. First is Man on the Moon, followed by The Truman Show, and then Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, all Jim Carrey films, even though Bobby said he doesn’t consider Carrey one of his favorite actors. His fourth pick was nostalgic: Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, which he loved as a kid for its time-travel chaos and historical cameos. He joked that he learned half his early history knowledge from Bill and Ted. Eddie’s four were classics: Forrest GumpShawshank RedemptionField of Dreams, and Good Will Hunting. He said Field of Dreams is one of those movies he can’t turn off if he finds it on TV. Lunchbox listed BraveheartDazed and Confused, and Old School, then tossed in Showgirls, which everyone immediately dismissed as a joke. The group agreed the first three were believable, but nobody was buying the fourth.

Movie Mike closed things out with some expert picks, starting with his number one movie of all time: The Dark Knight. Second was Twister, which he said he’s watched more than 50 times. Third was Spider-Man 2, the movie that inspired the tattoo on his arm. And for his final pick, he chose the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, a nostalgic favorite from childhood.

As the conversation wrapped up, the group realized most of their favorite movies weren’t recent, they were tied to childhood, college years, or moments that stuck with them long before streaming and modern franchises took over.
