RAPID CITY'S #1 FOR NEW COUNTRY KICK 104

Amy’s Almost-Mugshot and Bobby’s Pre-Surgery Morning

A voicemail played through the Bobby Bones Show speakers. A listener’s voice came through clearly: she had let her driver’s license expire, been stopped for speeding, and ended up in jail. She said she had to post bond to get out and wanted everyone to know that it really does happen in Tennessee.

The studio reacted immediately. Amy laughed nervously as the others joked about what would happen if she got pulled over on her expired license. They imagined her mugshot, the headlines, and how quickly the photo would spread. Bobby suggested calling Crime Stoppers again as a prank, while Amy insisted she didn’t want that to happen, though she couldn’t help laughing at the thought.

The conversation shifted when another listener called to ask about a Netflix movie called House of Dynamite. He said it was a complete waste of time and wondered if there would be a sequel. Bobby explained that the movie was meant to leave viewers thinking and talking about it, not to continue with another part. Movie Mike agreed, saying he appreciated the different perspectives and the conversations it sparked.

From there, the focus turned to Bobby himself. He mentioned he hadn’t eaten or had any water since midnight because he was scheduled for ankle surgery later that day. He talked about how difficult it was to do the show while fasting and how much he wanted just a sip of water. Eddie joined in, joking that he was going on a “hunger strike” in solidarity, though he admitted he still had food with him. Amy suggested ways to ease the thirst, like swishing water and spitting it out, but Bobby decided to wait it out.

As the show wrapped up, Bobby prepared to leave for surgery, still thirsty but in good spirits. Amy promised to finally renew her license, and the crew moved on to the next story.
