Lunchbox is back at it with his infamous alter ego, Niko Jackson. This time, Niko decided to take on the role of an eager “news tipster” with some big celebrity scoop: Bobby Bones is expecting his first baby.
Niko dialed up a couple of news stations to see if he could get the story out. First stop: an Atlanta newsroom. Unfortunately, the tip fell flat. The person on the other end basically said, yeah, that’s not going to make the news. Ouch. Not one to give up easily, Niko moved on to Austin, Texas. He pitched the story there, highlighting that this is Bobby’s first child, that Bobby is 45 years old, and that he and Caitlin married just a few years ago. The woman on the line was incredibly polite and patient, almost like she was humoring a sweet old man. She kindly listened to his spiel, treating “Mr. Niko Jackson” with the utmost care.
While neither station jumped at the breaking news, the calls gave everyone a good laugh. Leave it to Lunchbox to turn Bobby’s exciting baby announcement into a prank-worthy moment for the show.
