Lunchbox admits he’s disappointed in himself over reality TV blind spot while at the iHeartFestival.
Lunchbox shared with The Bobby Bones Show that he had a moment backstage at the festival that left him feeling a little embarrassed. He saw a guy and a girl walking the red carpet and later backstage but couldn’t quite place who they were. Turns out, they were cast members from Love Island. For Lunchbox, not recognizing reality stars was a blow to his pride. He admitted he prides himself on being in tune with the biggest reality shows, so missing this one felt like a bad look on him. While Love Island isn’t one he’s ever watched, he now feels like maybe he should in order to keep up.
He said he loves spotting reality TV personalities in real life and seeing how their fame translates off-screen. But in this case, it was just disappointing for him personally to not know. Amy reminded him that Love Island has been popular for quite a while, and Bobby added that it’s especially taken off in the U.S. over the past year.
As for Lunchbox’s go-to shows, he’s still all in on The Challenge, Survivor, Traitors, and Big Brother (though he admitted he only watches that one because his wife likes it). But Love Island? That one might have to be added to his watchlist if he wants to stay on top of the reality TV world.
