After weeks of debate, Bobby Bones has finally picked his NFL team.
Back in June, Bobby shared that he was on the hunt for an NFL team to root for. He grew up watching football and of course Arkansas Razorbacks, but never had a favorite professional team since he wasn’t raised on one. That all changed this season when he narrowed down his options to four: the Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Vikings, Denver Broncos, and Carolina Panthers. His decision factored in everything from Super Bowl wins over the last decade to overall roster strength. Plus, his interviews with athletes and coaches on 25 Whistles, Too Much Access, and Lots To Say gave him some insight into each franchise.
When it came down to the final two, it was Broncos vs. Panthers. The Broncos already have championships and are considered a team that’s “ready to win,” but Bobby decided he wanted to start fresh with a franchise still building toward success. That sealed it… the Carolina Panthers it is.
A big reason behind his choice? Quarterback Bryce Young. Bobby really likes him and felt that the Panthers offered the best balance of excitement and underdog energy. When Amy asked him how it felt to finally make his choice, Bobby jokingly said he’s “been a Carolina Panthers fan his whole life.”
