Eddie has been challenged.
Joey Chestnut ate 70.5 hot dogs in his return to Nathan’s 4th of July contest, winning the competition and beating everyone by many, many dogs. Bobby challenged Eddie that if he could eat 70 hot dogs in 24 hours, then Bobby would pay him $500. Eddie doesn’t think he can do it, but he’s intrigued by the money.
After doing the math, Bobby said he would have to eat 1 hot dog every 20 minutes in order to accomplish the goal. Amy and Lunchbox told him he doesn’t have to sleep and that would give him a little more time in between each hot dog, roughly around 34 minutes. However, Eddie said he needs his beauty sleep of 8 hours to function. He’s also concerned about his health and his stomach shrinking by doing this challenge.
After contemplating and not being able to come to a decision, Amy added $100 to the pot if he does the challenge and completes it. Bobby gave him 24 hours to think about it and come back with his answer.
