Lunchbox’s wife is upset with them over their 10-year wedding anniversary.
He didn’t know it was their 10-year anniversary so he spent the beautiful day golfing. He got home and he could tell she was peeved at him. She was upset because he decided to go golfing during the day of their 10-year wedding anniversary. Lunchbox thought they could do something that evening, but his wife thought they should have been spending as much time together as possible, especially because their kids were at school during the day.
Amy says his wife has the most patience of any wife in all the land and he needs to make this up to her especially after hearing the audio of his wife saying they might not make it to 11 years with this behavior. Bobby says that intention is what matters here. He not only forgot the anniversary, but he also didn’t plan anything else. If he would have, and had plans for them that evening then his golf outing probably wouldn’t have mattered. Eddie understood why Lunchbox went golfing because it was a beautiful day, but he definitely should have asked his wife and should have also known it was their anniversary.
