RAPID CITY'S #1 FOR NEW COUNTRY KICK 104

Some Drama Went Down During Bobby Bones Show’s Visit To St. Jude

Over the weekend, some members of The Bobby Bones Show visited St. Jude in Memphis for the Country Care Seminar, and some drama went down!
Lunchbox shared that he thinks Abby is taking being an artist too seriously. At the dinner on Thursday night, they brought out speakers, family members and Brothers Osborne was given the Angels Among Us award and performed. Randy Owen from Alabama was also there and at the end of the dinner he led everyone to sing “Angels Among Us,” and asked every artist in the crowd to come on stage and sing with him. Abby got up and went on the stage where she stood beside artists like Matt Stell and George Birge. Abby defended herself by saying she had no intention of going up. When he asked for artists to come on the stage, she was eating her dinner and then the people at her table and the one behind her started pushing her to go up there since her song “Hey There Hometown” is on the radio. Scuba Steve admitted he did push her to go up there and enjoy the moment and that she did not voluntarily go up on her own.
Lunchbox also got a voicemail from a random listener saying that Abby’s song “Hey There Hometown” is enhanced because he does not think she is that great of a singer. It made him wonder how many country artists aren’t that great at singing and have their songs enhanced to sound better. Bobby Bones stated that everyone has effects when they go into the recording studio to sing.
Abby then shared the drama Lunchbox caused at the same dinner that night. When it was over and everyone was going back, she saw Lunchbox had five to-go boxes of food to take to his family in the hotel. He was the only person there taking food and the boxes were so high they were stacked above his head.
Morgan shared that Lunchbox did not show up to any of the seminars unless they had food. Since the hotel paid for him to stay an extra night with his family, she thought he’d show up for everything and be very involved, but he only cared about the food. Lunchbox was supposed to talk on a panel, but they cancelled him at the last minute. Morgan talked during a seminar about how St. Jude has been interconnected in her personal and professional life for 12 years, which Lunchbox said he did not need to be there for. She thinks they cancelled Lunchbox speaking at a seminar because they were worried about him. Later that night, he was hosting the Halloween costume, and he was drunk before he got there and continued drinking throughout it. There were St. Jude patients participating in the costume contest, and he didn’t know what one was dressed up as and made fun of it. The lady running the event kept taking the drink out of Lunchbox’s hand and motioned that he had had enough, but he kept going back to grab his drink. He also had no idea what anyone’s costumes were and kept introducing them wrong. He introduced Abby as a member of Midland, but she was dressed as Lainey Wilson. At the end, St. Jude tried to cut him off, but he continued to drink at the party and went out after.
