RAPID CITY'S #1 FOR NEW COUNTRY KICK 104

At around 9:25 p.m. on April 30th, police were dispatched to an apartment in the 1700 block of North 7th Street for a report of someone heard yelling for help in a basement. On arrival, police located the female who had been assaulted. A medical unit arrived to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital. After conducting interviews with multiple witnesses, it was determined that 21-year-old Tanner Patino of Rapid City had made his way into the apartment without permission and was responsible for the assault. Patino was located on May 1st. Following an interview with detectives of the RCPD’s Criminal Investigation Division, Patino was placed under arrest for Attempted First Degree Murder and First Degree Burglary. The case is a joint investigation between the RCPD and the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, and has been forwarded to the Pennington County State’s Attorney Office. Any further inquiries about the case will be referred to their office.
