Two Delaware sisters are are trying to raise the literacy rate by reading bedtime stories of Facebook and Instagram Live! Zaria Willard, 13, and Hailey Willard, 8, have been reading bedtime stories every night for months and have nearly 100 viewers per livestream. Zaria said they take turns reading and all of this started because they wanted to make sure kids whose parents are maybe too busy to read to them get a bedtime story.
Each Sunday the girls visit the library to pick out books for the week; they read 5 nights a week! One of their staples is Dr. Seuss but they make a point to include books with diverse characters.
