Brandon Ratcliff on New Music & Tour with Kelsea Ballerini & Brett Young

A lot is happening for country singer/songwriter Brandon Ratcliff in 2019. After releasing his two newest singles, “Number In My Phone” and “Rules of Breaking Up,” Ratcliff will soon be hitting the road with Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young on the “Miss Me More Tour.”Ratcliff recently told iHeartRadio of his “Rules of Breaking Up” single, “We were working on this record for upwards of two years. This song is incredibly special to me because it kinda captures the essence of the whole record a little bit, and when we wrote it, was just a thematic song. Everything after that fit in this category and so ‘Rules of Breaking Up,’ to me, is just super representative of the entire collection of songs that I’ve been working on.” He adds of releasing more new music this year, “To me like, to be working on this for two years has been really, really special. And you spend a lot of time, you get really close to it. And to already have ‘Rules’ out and then ‘Number In My Phone,’ just to get more of my stuff out to the world and to have fans hear that is really, really rewarding.”
Brandon also said of touring with Kelsea and Brett, “[I] love them as people. They’re incredible. They’re also killing it right now in the game and I love them as writers. So I’m just pumped to get out, see their fans, [and] get the whole crew there. It’s gonna be fun.”

“That is gonna be sober me and drunk me? I don’t know. I’m more scared of the drunk one though, because sober I feel like I can ease out of it some way.”

“That’s definitely drunk me. I’m already a talker, so I get myself into some trouble. But yes, I definitely start feeling myself when I have some drinks.”

When you make plans and then forget that you made plans

“That is regular Brandon Ratcliff. [I’m] super forgetful. I’m also horrible at time management, so anything involving that I don’t have to have alcohol to help.”

When you make friends with complete strangers

“Oh, regular Brandon. I love people. So I love talking to people. But I don’t know, alcohol always makes it fun too. So, drunk me likes people too.”

When you find yourself late-night binge shopping online

“I think that’s that’s drunk me. And what is it called? Getting lost in the Amazon? Yeah, drunk in the Amazon, right? Is that what it is? There we go.”

When you’re creeping on someone’s social media

“I think that’s just regular me. Drunk Brandon doesn’t really mess with social media. I’m usually just no phones. Good rule of thumb I think for everybody right?”
