Last night (December 2nd) Bobby Bones along with Brooks and Dunn, Lady Antebellum, Kelly Clarkson and Kristin Chenoweth presented an award to Reba McEntire last night in Washington, D.C.
Reba was chosen from Kennedy Center to be among its honorees for 2018 along with Cher, Philip Glass, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Wayne Shorter, Thomas Kail, Andy Blankenbuehler and Alex Lacamoire. As the only country artist in this year’s class, Reba was chosen for her “enduring and indelible marks on our culture.”
McEntire shared that the recognition is meaningful to her because of the Kennedy Center Honors event’s breadth. This is because artists of all varieties are considered for inclusion while also acknowledging the honoree’s careers in additional ways where they have used their platforms for good.
Bones was there among the star-studded evening hanging out with country artists backstage. He also talked with Lin-Manuel Miranda about his mirrorball trophy.
