At around 12:15 p.m. on September 10th, a police officer was driving in the 900 block of E. Watertown Street. As the officer passed by the rear portion of the parking lot of 902 E. North Street, his patrol vehicle was struck by a vehicle backing out of the address. The officer made contact with the occupants of the vehicle, and in the process of attempting to identify two males in the car, was not able to positively identify them by the information they were giving him. They were placed into handcuffs until they could be identified. Through the course of the investigation, the two males were identified as 18-year-old Nickolas Scott of Fort Pierre and 18-year-old Julian Dahlinger of Lead. It was determined both had an escape warrant for their arrest out of Minnehaha County. Both were placed under arrest for Impersonation to Deceive Law Enforcement. Scott was also arrested for a Probation Violation. Both were transported to the Pennington County Jail.
