Kane Brown Jokes His Fun-Filled ‘Weekend’ Music Video Nearly Killed Him

It’s all fun and games until your friend nearly squishes you on a water tube.
Kane Brown had a lot of fun shooting his latest music video for his single “Weekend.” He got to hang out with his friend on a lake, he got in some time on the water, he had a bonfire, and he even saw some pretty cool fireworks (talk about a great day at the office!). However one of his most memorable moments actually came when his life flashed before his eyes while shooting a tubing scene with his friends.
“[‘Weekend’] was the easiest music video I have ever done,” Kane told Taste of Country. “It looks like it might have been scripted or something, but it really wasn’t. It was just a really fun day. I just had my friends over — it wasn’t hard to get people to show up.”
One moment from the video that looked especially fun to shoot was the tubing scene, which featured Kane, his fiancée Katelyn Jae, and a few of his friends.
“I thought I had died at one point while we were tubing,” Kane joked, recalling how one of his friends — who is a big guy, pushing 350 pounds — asked to go tubing with him. Despite their differing sizes, Kane agreed to hit the water with his bud, but it was a decision he almost immediately regretted.
“As soon as the boat started pulling us, I knew it was a bad idea,” Kane said through laughter recounting how their tubes started hitting one another extremely hard. “I couldn’t see him or the tube, but next thing I know I see them both of ’em about 15 feet in the air and about to land on me. I thought, ‘I’m about to die.’ It was hysterical.”
Kane is currently preparing to release his sophomore album on November 9.
