12-year-old Sammie Stricker is working hard to help the men and women who fought for our country. She started selling lemonade for $1 a cup just to work for herself, she wrote on the GoFundMe page “At first I was going to keep money for myself, but then I thought about all the people who have so much less than me.”
The first year Stricker raised $150, the following year $500, then she hit $1,500. The young girl decided to take all of the money she raised and donate it to local veterans at the Veterans Affairs Hospital near Flint, Michigan.
