On April 25th at around 10:40 p.m., police observed a Buick sedan travelling southbound on Haines avenue at a high rate of speed. Police attempted to stop the vehicle as it turned east on Van Buren Street, but the vehicle did not stop. The pursuit looped around the College Park area then headed general south west and onto Silver Street, the n west onto Omaha Street. As the vehicle headed into the West Chicago Street area, officer lost sight of it and terminated the pursuit. As police continued to check the area, the vehicle was located abandoned along Pleasant Drive. Police were able to gather evidence from the vehicle and are continuing to investigate the incident.
