Yesterday, Prince’s estate released the first recorded version of “Nothing Compares 2 U,” the song that he wrote and recorded in 1984. Six years later, the song would become a smash hit when it was recorded by Sinead O’Connor.
Almost no one has heard it since it was recorded. We can only hope that Prince’s estate will be releasing more music from the late musical genius as time goes on, as it is reported that he could have hundreds, if not thousands of unreleased songs in his archive.
