RAPID CITY'S #1 FOR NEW COUNTRY KICK 104

On January 30th at around 4:00 a.m., police observed a pickup truck driving with no headlights through the parking lot of 2111 N. Lacrosse Street. The vehicle drove through a grassy portion of the property and headed east onto Disk Drive in the wrong lane before swerving over to the correct lane of travel. A traffic stop was attempted on the pickup, but it did not stop. The pickup continued east on Disk Drive across Lacrosse Street. The vehicle then went past the eastern dead end of Disk Drive and collided with an electrical pole before the driver tried to back out in reverse. The driver, identified as 29-year-old Cory Glatt of Ft. Pierre, was ordered out of the pickup. Police determined Glatt had a revoked driver’s license. He was placed under arrest for Driving Under Revocation, Eluding, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and No Proof of Insurance. Following a DUI investigation, Glatt showed signs of impairment. Through a urinalysis, police determine he had methamphetamine in his system. He was additionally arrested for DUI (4th), and Ingestion of a Controlled Substance before being booked into the Pennington County Jail.
