On May 27th around 11:10 p.m., police were dispatched to a report of a stolen vehicle in the area of 5th Street and Stumer Road. While en-route to the location, police observed a vehicle matching the description of the stolen Jeep Cherokee in the area of 5th Street and Fairmont Blvd. A traffic stop was initiated on the Jeep, but it did not stop for police. The pursuit continued until the vehicle came to a stop in the 500 Block of Minnesota Street. A felony-level stop was conducted and the driver, identified as 34-year-old Timothy Reavis of Rapid City was ordered out of the vehicle and taken into custody. A search of the vehicle turned up marijuana and associated paraphernalia. Reavis was arrested for Eluding Law Enforcement, Careless Driving, DUI (2nd), Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
