November 19, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The Journey Museum & Learning Center is excited to announce the next event in its Fall Learning Forum series, set for Sunday, November 19th at 2 p.m., titled, “Solids, Liquids and Gases… Oh My!”. Ken Graupmann, with the South Dakota Discovery Center, will use his knowledge of science to create educational fun for all ages. Children and students are free with a paid adult or senior admission.

“Solids, Liquids and Gases…Oh My!” Learning Forum will be held in The Journey’s Wells Fargo Theater. Utilizing balloons, rubber balls, hot dogs and flowers,Graupmann will demonstrate the different stages of matter. Watch what happens when all of these items meet liquid nitrogen and dry ice!

Audience participation is highly encouraged. The Journey Museum staff will be handing out 50/50 tickets prior to the start of the program. If your number is drawn, you will get the chance to assist Graupmann with his experiments.

Ken Graupmann lives in Kadoka, SD. In 1999, he was awarded the National Science Teacher of the Year. Learning Forums are wide-ranging, thought-provoking presentations. Each program features a forty-five minute presentation, followed by an open forum with questions and discussion about the topic.
