On a wintery Friday night in February, theater-lovers will enjoy local food and entertainment at the Arts Council’s first Progressive Theater Event. The first 75 people to purchase a ticket to this February 15th event will be guaranteed a literal place at the table of delights.
The SAAC Drama Committee is excited to present one-act plays at three local Main Street venues. 25 theater patrons will locate at each of the three venues and each group will then rotate to the other 2 fun spots as the evening “progresses”. The makeshift theaters are within a block’s walking distance of each other, so all ages will enjoy a short walk down Main Street. Food will be provided as part of the ticket price at each stop along the theater pathway. A cash bar will also be available.
Tickets go on sale January 15th from Marlene (347-1375), Gary (890-2189), or Chris (347-1795). You may call to reserve a spot for you and your party, but payment must be received before the event as there are only 75 seats available and we want to fill each site. The ticket price for the productions and food is $20 for one ticket with a discount price of two tickets for $35.
If you have the acting bug, but can’t commit to a long play or the summer musical, this is the time for you to volunteer to be in one of the one-act plays. Call one of the numbers above, find a friend or two, and we will help you find a spot to cultivate and share your inner actor.
